Christmas Open House a Success

Christmas open house was a huge hit tonight all around Hope with downtown representing the hot spot. Shoppers took their time browsing in stores and businesses for the very best deals. Locals lined the streets waiting for a ride on a horse drawn carriage or a picture with Santa and Mrs Claus or the Grinch.

Small businesses provided snacks of all sorts, savory and sweet, cocoa bars, hot coffee and apple cider were among the favorite drinks served. Many of the vendors had door prizes available for those who put their name in the drawings to win. Pop up shops were another staple as a vast amount of the community roamed in and out of the establishments taking pictures with business owners for the selfie contest for a chance at a prize donated by SWARK.Today.

Children and adults enjoyed the brand new ice rink at the HUB and many took pictures at the new photo op in the pavilion. It was a merry good time for everyone who came out to enjoy the festivities.

Executive Director of the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce said, "I am super excited at the amount of people in the community who came out tonight to experience Christmas Open House. I know the businesses all over town have worked hard to help the chamber make this a success. I could not be more pleased with the turnout and the participation by our local businesses."
