The entire grounds are decorated in holiday lights, Christmas trees, poinsettias and presents. The store is open. The petting zoo is open, too, as is the concession stand ($10 for a Philadelphia Cheesesteak is quite a good deal) and the coffee shop. Christmas music wafts from speakers on the front porch of the Daniels’ residence. There’s plenty of parking.
One could sit down and enjoy a Christmas movie, like Frosty the Snowman, projected on a screen outside or tell Santa and Mrs. Claus what you wish for on Christmas morning in the café.
Tonight was a clear night, with the stars seeming so close as to be reachable. So taking the hayride and seeing the themed displays pertaining to Christmas trees, Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and the galaxy-like outline of the pond sometimes convinced me the dozens of us were floating.
I could say more but you should see it for yourself as so many have since the event has been held starting December 1st. Admission is $8 a person. Those under two get in free. The petting zoo is an additional $10. Definitely dress warm.
