Dylan Leach to transfer portal

FAYETTEVILLE -- The 2022 baseball season at Arkansas is in the books and now the transfer portal starts with catcher Dylan Leach announcing he's leaving the Razorbacks.

Leach is a sophomore who played in 24 games this season with 16 starts. He hit .224 with four home runs and 16 RBI.

Leach's action was cut basically out once the midweek games stopped and the postseason started. Leach was the Arkansas catcher in the majority of the midweek games while Michael Turner would get a rest.

Leach is from Carthage, Texas. In 2021 as a freshman, Leach played in 17 games with 10 starts. He finished with one home run and four RBI on the year.

In high school, Leach had his junior season cut short after 13 games due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Batted .472 with six home runs, 45 RBI and 13 stolen bases during his sophomore campaign in 2019, collecting all-state and district MVP honors.
