FAYETTEVILLE -  First reported by Rivals.com, multiple media outlets are reporting Thursday that  Arkansas senior defensive end Dorian Gerald broke his leg during Wednesday’s practice and will miss the remaining 2021 season.

Originally a junior college transfer reporting to Arkansas just before the  2018 season, Gerald lettered in 2018 for his lone full season.

He suffered a rare bruised artery during the 2019 season opener and was granted a hardship year missing the entire season.

A leg injury during the 2020 season opener  caused Gerald to miss four games  before returning to finish playing the last five  games.A bonus senior allowed the option of 2021 eligibility because of the 2020 season's covid disruptions, Gerald played in last Saturday’s 38-17 victory over Rice.
