For the school board position, Eric Gonzales, the incumbent, won 54-24 votes over Denise Walker. Gonzales had 69 percent of the vote, while Walker had 31.
The early vote was closer as Gonzales garnered 15 to Walker’s 11 (58 percent to 42 percent). The election day vote was Gonzales 39 and Walker 13 (75 percent to 25 percent).
The nonbinding millage election showed the maintaining of the 41.2 millage to be more popular with early voters than election day voters, but in the final tally the millage was supported by Prescott voters 51-41 (55 percent to 45 percent). The early vote was 24-15 (62 percent to 38 percent) in favor. The election day vote was 27-26 in favor (51 percent-49 percent).
