PRESS RELEASE
LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson today announced his intent to grant 10 pardons and one restoration of firearm rights. An additional 51 clemency requests were denied, and two had no action taken upon it. These include requests from both inmates and non-inmates.The applicants intended for pardons have completed all jail time, fulfilled all parole and probationary requirements and paid all fines related to their sentences. There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the notices before final action is taken.
Governor Hutchinson intends to grant pardons to the following people:
Jeff Bealer (Malvern): Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Y Felony) (CR1992-2-1) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Y Felony) (CR1991-216).This notice is issued based on the dates of conviction (1992 – Hot Spring County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.
Danny Calhoun (Corning): Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with Intent to use (C Felony) (CR-98-40) and Theft of Property (C Felony) (CR-04-7).This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1999 – Clay County and 2004 – Greene County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further felony criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.
Felicia Daniels (Little Rock): Theft of Property (A Misdemeanor) (CR-1998-4462) and Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft of Property (D Felony) ( CR-01-1797).This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1998 – Pulaski County and 2001 – Pulaski County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.
Shawn Eaves (Chester): Criminal Mischief-1st Degree (C Felony), Criminal Trespass (C Misdemeanor), Disorderly Conduct (C Misdemeanor), and Fleeing (C Misdemeanor) (CR-96-73).This notice is issued based on the date of convictions (1997 – Scott County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. Edwards (El Dorado): Violation of the Arkansas Hot Check Law (C Felony) (CR-2004-374).This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (2005 – Union County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further felony criminal-law violations. Marvett Haygood (Little Rock): Delivery of Controlled Substance (Y Felony), Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent (Y Felony), and Use of a Communication Facility (C Felony) (CR-91-03319).This notice is issued based on the date of convictions (1992 – Pulaski County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. The Sheriff of Pulaski County has signed the Recommendation of the Chief Law Enforcement Officer as required by law. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.
