HHS FBLA Students Advance to State
HOPE – Seventeen Hope High School Future Business Leaders of America members will advance to state competition in April from district contests held recently in Hope.

FBLA faculty sponsor Matha Wake said the students will compete April 6-7 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock after qualifying at the District IV FBLA Spring Conference at Hempstead Hall on the University of Arkansas-Hope campus.

State qualifiers from HHS include Jocelyn Castro, fifth place, Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure; Gustavo Gallardo, third place, Business Law; Brandon Maxfield and Giovanni Randle, fifth place, Sports Entertainment and Management; and, Oswaldo Bello and Jazmin Martinez, fifth place, Marketing.

Also, Calvin Haynes, first place, Introduction to Business; Melanie Lara, third place, Securities and Investments; Dustin Laudermilk, fourth place, Cyber Security; and, Aiyanna Martin, fifth place, Introduction to Business Communication. Also, Kathy Rogal, fourth place, Organizational Leadership; Jordyn Simington, second place, Database Design and Application; Ryan Walker, second place, Spreadsheet Applications; Alicia White, third place, Word Processing; Camron Robinson, qualifier, Client Service (FBLA); and Leslie Rodriguez and Justin Armstrong, qualifier, Management Decision Making

Seventeen members of the Hope High School Future Business Leaders of America chapter will advance to state competition in April from the district spring conference contests held at Hempstead Hall on the University of Arkansas – Hope campus. – Hope Public Schools
