Hogs Named AP All-SEC

Razorback junior wide-receiver Treylon Burks (#16) from Warren, AR makes a catch for a touchdown against Missouri.

FAYETTEVILLE - Named to the SEC Coaches first-team All-SEC Tuesday, turning-pro junior wide receiver Treylon Burks concludes his Arkansas Razorbacks career and was also named to the Associated Press Media All-SEC first team it was announced Wednesday.

Rather than risk a bowl game injury before the 2022 draft, Burks, 66 catches for 1,182 yards and 11 touchdowns,  has opted out of playing for Arkansas in the Jan. 1, Outback Bowl against Penn State in Tampa, Fla.

Burks posted his intentions Wednesday on Twitter.

Arkansas senior linebacker Bumper Pool, named to the Coaches second-team All-SEC, also was named All-SEC second team by the media after leading the Razorbacks with 120 tackles.

Arkansas junior center Ricky Stromberg was named AP All-SEC second team starting every game for a Razorbacks team that ranked second in the SEC in rushing averaging 217.3 per game.

Stromberg was not selected by the SEC Coaches Tuesday.

Arkansas senior cornerback Montaric Brown, named first-team Tuesday by the SEC Coaches, was not selected by Wednesday’s AP panel.
