An elf stands sentry in the Blevins Suite of Hempstead Hall where many potential holiday gifts were on offer. The Holiday Bazaar, which began today and will open again from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. tomorrow.

About 25 vendors have set up their wares in University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana's Hempstead Hall Blevins Suite today, to help raise funds for the Southwest Arkansas Arts Council.

SWAAC Executive Director Jennifer Block summed up what is available to visitors who make the short trip to the UAHT campus. "We have a little of everything. We have sewing crafts. We have handmade crafts. We have fine art. We have paintings. We have ornaments. We have jewelry. We have peanut brittle that is to die for."

This reporter can attest to the deliciousness of the peanut brittle, but the undertaker need not be involved. To take home a bag, it costs $13.50.

Photos of many of the displays can be found below.
