MEDIA RELEASE

On April 4, 2022 at approximately 11:12pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Derry Henery Jr., 37, of Hope, AR. Mr. Henery was charged assault on family/household member in the first degree, criminal mischief in the 1st, and served a failure to appear warrant. The arrest occurred in the 1400 block of East 3rd Street. in Hope, AR. Henery was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance. 

On April 8, 2022 at approximately 2:25pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Joseph Hutcheson, 30, of Texarkana TX. Mr. Hutcheson was charged with forgery in the 1st degree. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Washington Street in Hope, AR. Hutcheson was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance. 

On April 9, 2022 at approximately 7:07pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Michael Beavers, 18, of Texarkana, TX.  Mr. Beavers was charged with theft by receiving and carrying a weapon. The arrest occurred in the 1000 block of East Henry C. Yerger Street in Hope, AR. Beavers was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance. 

On April 9, 2022 at approximately 2:00pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Frankie Austin, 49, of Hope, AR. Mr. Austin was charged battery in the 2nd degree. The arrest occurred in the 800 block of Mockingbird Street in Hope, AR. Austin was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On April 11, 2022 at approximately 7:12pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Danny Joyce, 66, of Prescott, AR. Mr. Joyce was charged with possession of controlled substance methamphetamine and served a failure to appear warrant. The arrest occurred in the 2100 block of West Hwy 67 in Hope, AR. Joyce was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance. 

On April 13, 2022 at approximately 6:36pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Latara Barnes, 34, of Hope, AR. Ms. Barnes was charged with domestic battery in the 2nd degree, and resisting arrest. The arrest occurred in the 1400 block of North Grove Street in Hope, AR. Barnes was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

Mr. Morgan was arrested and charged with driving on suspended drivers license not for DWI, and served a failure to appear warrant.
