MEDIA RELEASE

On May 11, 2022 at approximately 1:08am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Jose Nava, 49, Hope, AR. Mr. Nava was arrested and charged with possession of firearms by certain persons. The arrest occurred in the 100 block of East Avenue G in Hope, AR. Nava was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance. 

On May 15, 2022 at approximately 9:37pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Willie Munn, 65, of Ozan, AR. Mr. Munn was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance cocaine, fleeing on foot, and served a failure to appear warrant. The arrest occurred in the 600 block of North Laurel Street in Hope, AR. Munn was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance. 

On May 15, 2022 at approximately 4:43am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Brandon Burton, 35, of Hope, AR. Mr. Burton was arrested and possession of controlled substance methamphetamine. The arrest occurred in the 1800 block of North Hazel Street in Hope, AR. Burton was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance. 

On May 15, 2022 at approximately 5:00pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Kayla Israelson, 34, of Magnolia, TX. Ms. Israelson was arrested and charged with commercial burglary.  The arrest occurred in the 1700 block of South Main Street in Hope, AR. Israelson was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

Ms. Nash was arrested and charged with public intoxication and served a failure to appear warrant.

10:04am in the 600 block of W. Division
Cesar Gomez, 27, of Hope, AR
Mr. Gomez was arrested and charged with public intoxication- drinking in public.

11:31pm in the 1300 block of S. Tilmon Ross Ave.
Richard Harris, 60, of Hope, AR
Mr. Harris was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to BAC, motor vehicle equipped with ignition interlock device, and driving left of center.

Keesha Baker, 27, of Hope, AR
Ms. Baker was arrested and charged with domestic battery in the 3rd degree.

Mr. Camacho was arrested and charged with domestic battery in the 3rd degree.

Mr. Gomez was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, no insurance, driving on suspended drivers license not for DWI, leaving the scene of accident with property damage, expired vehicle tags, and served a failure to comply warrant.
