HPS Facilities, Buses to get Second Treatment

HOPE – All 600,000 square feet of Hope Public Schools classroom and other education infrastructure, along with all school buses, will undergo a second treatment to protect against the COVID-19 virus, and other pathogens on Friday.

All HPS facilities will be closed to the public on Friday, and no teachers or students will be on campuses.

Henderson, Arkansas-based Ecovasive Arkansas Infection Control, the franchisee for Georgia-based Ecovasive Southeast Infection Control, will perform the treatment work beginning at 7 a.m. at the HPS Administration Building.

The Friday treatment schedule includes buses and maintenance buildings, 8 a.m.; Yerger Middle School/Head Start, 9 a.m.; Hope High School, 10:30 a.m., Bobcat Clinic, 11:30 a.m.; Creative Action Team School, Noon; Clinton Primary School/ABC PreK, 12:30 p.m.; Beryl Henry Elementary School, 2 p.m.; Hope Academy of Public Service, 3:30 p.m., and other facilities as required by contract, 4:30 p.m.

Ecovasive uses a treatment known as PreventX 24/7 which is intended to work against pathogens such as Influenza, COVID-19, Norovirus, Strep, Staph, MRSA, E-coli, and TB, according to the company.

The treatment is intended to remain effective up to 90 days, the company said.
