LITTLE ROCK. – Sarah Huckabee Sanders today held a roundtable with adoption, foster care, and family advocacy leaders from across Arkansas as she continues her policy discussions focused on empowering Arkansans. The group exchanged ideas on much-needed improvements to the state foster care system, making Arkansas the most pro-adoption state in the country, and building strong families with real opportunities.
“Every human life is a gift from God that must be valued, protected, and empowered, not only in the womb but beyond,” Sanders said. “As governor, I will work to ensure that Arkansas children have a good home, with a quality education and real opportunities that empower them into successful adults. Arkansas is the most pro-life state in America, but I believe we must now become the most pro-adoption state by improving the state foster care system, eliminating unneeded barriers, increasing partnerships between the public sector, faith-based communities, and non-profits, and supporting parents who strive to help kids in one of their greatest moments of need.”
Sanders has hosted roundtables on education, tourism and outdoor recreation, workforce development, economic development, public safety, and energy. She will host roundtables on agriculture, health care, and infrastructure, among other topics, in the coming months.
