FAYETTEVILLE -  Arkansas running back/track sprinter Josh Oglesby has entered the transfer portal, it was reported Tuesday by Otis Kirk of Hogville.net.

An All-American relays sprinter for the 2019 Razorbacks SEC Outdoor champion track and field team, Oglesby joined Coach Sam Pittman’s Razorbacks football team as a running back in 2020 but missed the season with a preseason injury.

Because of his speed, Oglesby initially impressed the staff and was placed on football scholarship but was handicapped by his 5-8, 175 and got buried on the depth chart behind returning senior 2020 starter Trelon Smith, 235-pound current sophomore starter Dominique Johnson and highly recruited true freshmen Raheim “Rocket” Sanders and AJ Green.

Oglesby had played just two games this season and netted 19 yards on four carries.

He ran outdoor track for Coach Chris Bucknam’s Razorbacks last spring after spring football practices concluded.
