LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The last decade has seen declining voter confidence in election processes all across America. Concerns about election integrity have led to the creation of an Election Integrity Unit within the Arkansas Attorney General's Office.

The beginning of early voting in the primary election on Tuesday heralds the first major test of the specialized unit.

"The purpose of that unit is to have a designated group of people here at the Attorney General's Office who are focused on collecting and investigating allegations of potential misconduct as it relates to our elections," said Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin.
