Texarkana- The Lady Saints offense continued its hot start to the season as they followed up a 15-run game against Blevins with a 16-run outburst against Trinity Christian. Silbi Jones picked up her second win of the week, as she allowed 5 runs on 7 hits and struck out 8 batters. The defense played very well for a second consecutive game. Kynlee Glass led the way for the Lady Saints with 3 hits and 2 RBI. Kynlee now has 5 hits in just two games as she is starting off the season red hot. Raylee Adkison, Mikayla Fields, and Silbi Jones each had 2 hits. Raylee and Mikayla each had an RBI. Laila Santifer added a single, an RBI, and scored a run, as well as getting pegged for the third time in 2 games (at this pace she could set a record for the most HBPs in a season). Evan Chambless and Charity Zumwalt each reached base twice on a single and a walk, and scored twice. Blayklee Glass had a single, a walk, 1 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Brailyn Almand had a single, an RBI, and a run scored as well, and Baylee Pogue scored a run as well. The Lady Saints offense is doing a great job early on in the season as they have plated 31 runs in just two games. The Lady Saints are now 2-0 to start the season, and they head to Columbia Christian on Friday night as they look to win their third game of the week.
