Lady Saints Drop Close Game to Columbia Christian
Magnolia- There was no shortage of offense on Friday night as GMCS suffered a 12-11 loss to rival Columbia Christian. A lot of stranded baserunners for the Lady Saints would look to be the difference in this game, as they stranded 8 runners in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings. The Lady Saints fought hard and had the tying and go-ahead run on base when the final out was made.

Mikayla Fields led the way offensively as she posted a 5-hit game, including 2 triples and 2 RBI. Silbi Jones had 4 hits and 3 RBI. Baylee Pogue and Evan Chambless each had 2 hits for the Lady Saints and scored multiple runs. Savannah FIelds added a single and drove in 2 runs. Heaven Garcia reached base 4 times as she was walked twice and was hit by a pitch twice. Raylee Adkison did a good job out of the leadoff spot, drawing a couple of walks and scoring every time she reached base. Brailyn Almand and Laila Santifer each reached base on walks as well. Silbi Jones recorded 10 strikeouts from the pitchers circle.

The Lady Saints are now 2-1 and they are back in action on Monday night as they travel to Emerson.
