Lady Saints Travel to Columbia Christian for Tournament this Weekend
Magnolia- The Lady Saints had three basketball games this Friday and Saturday at Columbia Christian. GMCS dropped Friday's game to Emerson 61-37, lost to Gospel Light 50-33, and won against Columbia 31-11. 

In the Friday night game, the Lady Saints had a tough matchup with the Lady Pirates as Emerson took an early lead and never looked back. Laikyn Mitchell led the Lady Saints with 13 points. Mikayla Fields had 12 and Gracy Martin had 10 points. 

Saturday morning the Lady Saints had an early tip-off as the opening game started at 8:30. Gospel Light pulled away late 50-33. Mikayla Fields played great with 15 points and some great assists. Laikyn Mitchell had 10 points and Gracy Martin had 6. 

GMCS would find the win column in their second game of the day as they beat Columbia 31-11. Laikyn Mitchell torched the nets for 16 points. Mikayla Fields had 8 points and made many plays to set up her teammates. Gracy Martin had 5 points. 

The Lady Saints were short-handed all weekend playing with just seven players. Mikayla Fields, Laikyn Mitchell, Gracy Martin, Evan Chambless, Bailee Pogue, Kynlee Glass, and Ella Eskridge all played big minutes for the Lady Saints. 

The Lady Saints are back in action on Nov. 28 at home against Cornerstone.
