HOPE, AR - Two Hope Academy of Public Service student artists were selected as finalists in the Arkansas Peace Week Art Contest out of thousands of entries. Cindy Ledezma and Arizbeth Bautista, both sixth graders, were named as finalists in their division.
Their work will be on display at the Arkansas State Capitol September 18th-25th. Award winners will be announced at an event at the Arkansas State Capitol on September 24 at 1:00 p.m.
Arkansas Peace Week celebrates non-violence as a means to instill justice, build stronger communities, alleviate poverty, promote ecological stewardship, end war, and eliminate the scourge of violence in our society; while seeking respect, inclusion and fair treatment of all people.
