HOPE – Free meal distributions for students will now accommodate “virtual Fridays” beginning today.

Sandra Calhoun, Aramark Food Services Supervisor for the Hope Public Schools, said weekend meals will continue to be provided free for all students on each HPS campus. Calhoun said the distribution will be made each Thursday as students leave campus.

The first such distribution Oct. 29 will take into account a scheduled “virtual day” on Oct. 30, she said.

Otherwise, weekend meal distributions for on campus students will be each Thursday beginning Nov. 6 through Dec. 18 as the school district incorporates “Virtual Friday” into the weekly schedule.

Students who have enrolled in the Hope from Home Virtual Academy full time may continue to pick-up weekly meals on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. until noon in the bus lane at Yerger Middle School.

Questions or concerns should be directed to Calhoun at 501-229-3781.
