FAYETTEVILLE - The Missouri Tigers defeated Georgia, 73-70 Thursday night at the SEC Tournament to advance to tonight’s 6 o’clock SEC Network televised SEC Tournament quarterfinals game against second-seeded Arkansas at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

Missouri, 16-8 overall, 8-8 in the SEC, and the Razorbacks, 21-5 overall and 13-4 in the completed SEC season, split two SEC games.

Missouri won, 81-68 at Walton Arena in Fayetteville behind center Jeremiah Tilmon’s 25 points and 11 rebounds and guard Xavier Pinson’s 23 points.

Arkansas avenged 86-81 in overtime at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Mo. led by Razorback forward Justin Smith’s 19 points and six rebounds and Moses Moody, 16 points, and a key late steal allowing the Hogs to seal the overtime.
