HOPE – The first Hope Public Schools parent/teacher conference day of the COVID-19 affected 2020-2021 school year is scheduled Thursday.
Most campuses will have a virtual meeting component in their schedule after the planned early dismissal of classes at 1:20 p.m.
Parent/teacher conference plans for each campus are as follows:
Clinton Primary School: 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
--Teachers will contact parents of all students on their rosters via telephone and arrange meetings. Zoom meetings are recommended. Appointments will be arranged in 20-minute increments for face-to-face contact.
--Face coverings will be required in all face-to-face contact.
--Attendees on-site will be temperature screened at the covered structure in front of the main office.
--Parents will be given a card with their child’s teacher’s name, hallway and room number, and will enter through the main entrance.
--Attendees will exit the building at the car line or bus line based upon where their child’s room is located.
--Teachers will use Friday, Oct. 30, to complete Zoom conferences, if necessary.
Beryl Henry Elementary School: 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
All parent/teacher conferences will be conducted via Zoom meetings by appointments with homeroom teacher. Contact 870-777-6222 for details or questions.
Hope Academy of Public Service: 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Students will lead presentations via Zoom, Google chat, or telephone conference call. Presentations will be by appointment.
Yerger Middle School: 1:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Teachers will be live on Zoom throughout the scheduled conference portion of the day. Extended one-to-one meetings via Zoom may be arranged by appointment for Friday, Oct. 30.
Hope High School: 1:20 to 7:30 p.m.
Telephone conference or Zoom meeting appointments will be scheduled by homeroom teachers.
