The Hempstead County Quorum Court met Thursday night to discuss spending for the ARP Grant, which would give the county funding for employee pay, water works, software, and healthcare projects. Since the money is federal, the Quorum Court is looking into the particulars associated with the grant before deciding on spending at their next scheduled meeting on November 18.

After the discussion, the court heard from Sylvia Brown, who requested the court make a public advisory board to look into the best practices for the ARP. She offered her services to work with the board, stating that "low ego, high impact" should be their goal.
