Hope High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadet/Technical Sergeant Damaris Martinez was promoted to officer rank in recent ceremonies conducted by the HHS corps. Martinez was promoted to Cadet/2nd Lieutenant in pinning ceremonies by AFJROTC Senior Aerospace Science Instructor Lt. Col. (Ret.) Mark Hart. Cadet corps awards for the quarter were also announced including: Outstanding Female PT 1st year C/AB Isabella Garcia; Outstanding Female PT Overall C/1st Lt. Alana Flenory; Outstanding Male PT 1st year C/AB Lanod Westmoreland and Outstanding Male PT Overall C/TSgt. Zy’Kell Farris. Outstanding cadets in each corps flight included C/AB Lynda Pacheo, Alpha Flight; C/AB Br’Darius Grissom, Bravo Flight; C/AB Luna Almazan, Charlie Flight; C/AB Antoine Walker, Delta Flight; C/AB Jasmine Davis, Echo Flight; and, C/AB Aldiad Lara, Foxtrot Flight. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public School
