Says ‘As Arkansas’s chief legal officer, I understand the importance of judicial nominations’
LITTLE ROCK, AR – Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge released a statement following President Biden’s announcement that he intends to nominate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to the United States Supreme Court.
“As Arkansas’s chief legal officer, I understand the importance of judicial nominations, especially those to the United States Supreme Court,” said Attorney General Leslie Rutledge. “I look forward to following the confirmation process through the U.S. Senate, where it is my hope that Judge Jackson will provide valuable insight on her judicial philosophy and commit to interpreting the Constitution as written.”
