Coach Roy Whatley said he was extremely proud of all the players who competed yesterday and explained that the contributions made by many were what made the day's accomplishments possible. "There's an old saying, 'it takes a village to raise a child,' but it took a community to put on this golf tournament," Whatley said. "There was so much time donated, help given, and people going beyond the call of duty to put on this tournament. That's a big shout-out to our community and what they can do."

Ava Purifoy will compete in the State Golf Tournament on September 27 at Turkey Mountain Country Club in Salem, Arkansas. The Spring Hill Boys Golf Team will compete for their title at the state level on October 5 at Cooper's Hawk in Melbourne.
