STORYWALK PLANNED FOR DOWNTOWN HOPE
Press Release, Beckie Moore

March, 12, 2021, Hope, AR – The Hope Downtown Network and the Hempstead County Library have put plans in motion for a St. Patrick’s Day Downtown StoryWalk.  StoryWalk will take place from Wednesday, March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day) through Saturday, March 20.

An exciting St. Patrick’s Day book has been selected.  The library team will enlarge and laminate each page of the book with help from the Southwest Arkansas Education Cooperative. Page by page, the book will be placed in storefront windows throughout downtown.

Once StoryWalk participants read the first page at the chamber, located at 201 S Main, they will be guided to the next storefront as the address will be noted on each page.  The walk will continue until StoryWalk participants have read the book in its entirety.

“Hope Downtown Network is excited to partner with the outstanding team at the Hempstead County Library for our first Downtown StoryWalk.  This will be a fun, family-friendly activity.  StoryWalk participants are encouraged to go “beyond the book” and check out the downtown small businesses,” commented Bob Erwin with Hope Downtown Network.
