HOPE – A survey and an application information brochure will be used online in the selection of a new superintendent for the Hope Public Schools.
Both tools will be available prior to a community patron, parents, students and stakeholder forum Tuesday, May 4, at 6 p.m. in the Hope High School auditorium.
All three have been created for the Hope Public Schools Board of Education to provide information about the district, input into the process and selection criteria for the Hope superintendent search.
Links to the English and Spanish versions of the survey will become live earlier in the day on May 4 under a Superintendent Search Survey headline in the News section of the HPS website at www.hpsdistrict.com online.
The criteria/application information brochure is currently posted in the News section of the district website and is available for potential applicants as part of the formal application information under www.hope.tedk12.com online.
Applications for the position must be made only through McPherson and Jacobson, LLC, the Omaha, Neb., based executive search firm retained by the board to facilitate the selection process.
The May 4 public meeting is open to anyone wishing to attend, according to Dr. Kieth Williams, consultant for McPherson and Jacobson.
A closing date for applications is anticipated in mid-May with a selection of finalist candidates later in the month. Interviews toward selection of a new superintendent are anticipated at the end of May and first of June. A new superintendent is expected to be named by the board by July 1 when Superintendent Dr. Bobby Hart will assume duties as superintendent of the Searcy, Arkansas, public schools.
