SWARK.Today welcomes Rachel Pendergraft to the team
SWARK.Today is excited to welcome Rachel Pendergraft to our growing team. Pendergraft joins us as a Production Assistant and brings with her reams of experience in the news field, as well as videography and print production. She graduated from Henderson with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with an emphasis in Digital Design, and has worked for organizations like Nashville News, American Classifieds, and Video Perfection Photography. Pendergraft’s wide range of experience and invaluable skill set will be a considerable resource for SWARK.Today’s ever-expanding lineup of projects and productions tailor-made for the readers and viewers of southwest Arkansas.

Jim Hawley, President of SWARK.Today is delighted to have Pendergraft joining the team. “I am thrilled we have found someone who is experienced in news production, and she will bring a specialized talent and perspective to the team,” he said. “Already, Rachel has proven to be knowledgeable in areas of print production that is taking our projects to that next level and fit the vision of our company: to bring the news and sports of Southwest Arkansas with accuracy, efficiency, and style.”

Bren Yocom, SWARK.Today General Manager, is also enthusiastic about Rachel joining the news crew. "I am extremely excited to have Rachel become a part of our company," Yocom said. "In the short time she’s been here, her knowledge of media, design, and print production has proven to be a significant asset to the team. Her dedicated work ethic and innovative talent make her a perfect fit for SWARK.Today. Rachel’s experience and unique skill set were just what we needed, and she will help us continue our mission in bringing Southwest Arkansas breaking news and continuing sports coverage."

Pendergraft says that when she walked in to the SWARK.Today office for the first time, she knew that this company and team would be a good fit for her, as well. “There’s a newsroom type of feeling one gets when walking into SWARK, and I immediately identified with that. It’s a great feeling, especially with a team like this one,” she said. “One aspect I’m excited about exploring is taking what I have learned about the news in print and applying that to the digital format. I look forward to seeing what kind of projects we can create and produce together for the benefit of the community.”

Be on the lookout for Rachel Pendergraft as she films, takes photos, or joins the SWARK team in our community events. Help us in giving our newest SWARKansan a warm welcome!
