SWARK.Today is proud to welcome Lance Hawley to the team! Lance is joining us as a sports reporter, covering local games and all things athletic in Hempstead and Nevada Counties. Bobcat fans might already recognize him as one of the commentators from the Hope football livestreams, but all Bears, Curley Wolves, Hornets, Saints, and Blue Jays will soon get to know him, as well, since he will be attending athletic events to give our readers the latest happenings in local sports. 

SWARK.Today’s General Manager, Bren Yocom, is thrilled to welcome Lance to the team. “I am so excited to announce this next chapter in reporting for SWARK.Today,” she said. “Sports coverage is something we have wanted to provide to viewers for a while now, and we couldn’t be happier to have Lance become a part of our SWARK family. We look forward to what the future holds now that we’ve added Lance's extensive skill and expertise to our talented staff. 

SWARK.Today President Jim Hawley said he is especially pleased to add Lance’s knowledge of sports to the expanding lineup of coverage that SWARK.Today continues to offer the community. “We strive to provide a wide variety of journalism and broadcasting to our viewers," Hawley said. "We know the community will be as delighted as we are with Lance’s infectious energy and wholehearted dedication to sports.”

Lance has been an avid sports fan his entire life, with a special fondness for Yankees baseball and all things Razorback. He says one of the most exciting games he’s ever attended was last year when Yankee Aaron Judge hit his 62nd home run to break the AL home run record for a single season. Lance says he hopes to bring that same level of excitement to local sports reporting. “I want to provide the community with all of the info and details of our local teams and give them access to news and coverage that is unavailable anywhere else,” Lance said. “These are our kids playing these games and people want to know about the big touchdowns, homeruns, three-pointers, and more. The SWARK.Today staff is fantastic and I look forward to being a part of this team!”
