This week's Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce community coffee was held at the Hempstead County Library. The Library staff out did themselves with decor and a spread of food three tables long. Fruits and veggies, chips and crackers with a variety of dips, little sausages, pinwheels, sausage balls, cookies and so much more!
Director of The Hempstead County Library Courtney McNiel said, "This is our favorite day of the year. We love decorating for the coffee, we love the buffet of food and just getting to see everyone come out, it is just the best. We always like to use this coffee to kick off our summer programs which will begin July 6."
The 2023 summer reading programs include:
The Balloon Man on July 6 at 2 pm
Bright Star Theatre on July 12 at 2 pm
Zootari on July 20 at 2 pm
Magic Mr. Nick Magic Show 1 pm & Foam Party 2 pm on July 20
The programs are a ton of fun each year, they always pack the house and the kiddos love them. Be sure to mark your calendar to visit the Hempstead County Library at 500 S Elm in Hope.
Executive Director of the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce, Christy Burns was in attendance and said, "I look forward to this coffee each year. The ladies here always go above and beyond with everything for the kiddos in the community. The summer reading programs are great. It makes me happy to look around and see all the young faces in the room today. They are making a difference."
