Executive Director Gina Perkins said she and fellow UW members were thrilled to host today and be able to promote the organization, as well as their agency partners. "We are officially kicking off our campaign season which runs through the end of December," Perkins said. "We want everybody to know that we put great emphasis on these last few months of the year for contributions and donations, instead of prodding them all year long. We also try to encourage year-end deductions which are tax deductible. Most important, we really want to bring publicity to our agencies and make people aware of the positive work they are doing in the community." 

Representatives from some of those agencies were present at the Coffee, as well as other UW volunteers. Many were discussing the upcoming United Way Gala, a fundraising event that began last year with much success, plus sharing stories about the good works taking place at some of the partenring agencies.
