The lobby of the beautiful church house filled with people quite early, and food was in no short supply as attendees snacked on tidbits of an array of finger foods, dips and chips, mini sandwiches, cookies, cakes and so much more. Coffee and punch was served to guests as they visited about the crowd.
Pastor Nick Flowers said, “We are just excited to host this coffee and let people know that we love our community. We are here to help, to serve, and we are thankful God has placed us here. There is always a place for you at Unity Baptist Church.”
Executive Director of the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce was in attendance and spoke a little about UBC and their commitment to the community. “I love that Unity Baptist is a church that has programs for all ages, from toddler to the golden years, there truly is something for everyone,” Burns said.
A Light in the Darkness is not just a slogan for Unity Baptist Church, it is a way of life.
