Odis “Danny” McKamie, 66, of Hope, AR went to be with the Lord Monday, April 17, 2023.

Danny, as his family called him, was born January 2, 1957 to Odis McKamie and Eva Mae Byers in Ontario, CA. Danny loved to fish in his earlier years. One of his talents was drawing barns and cartoon characters. He loved helping others and working in his shop with his grandbabies. They were his pride and joy and spoiled them with sweet treats. You could always find Danny telling jokes and laughing.

Mr. McKamie was preceded by his father and stepmother, Odis and Ora Mae McKamie; mother, Eva Mae Byers; grandparents, Oden and Odessa McKamie; nephews, David E. McKamie, Jr. and Shannon Wayne Pauley.

Mr. McKamie is survived by his wife, Myrtle McKamie of Hope; children, Adam Hughes, Crystal McKamie, Dustin McKamie all of Hope; brothers, David McKamie (Sandy) of Midland, FL and Michael McKamie of Perrytown, AR; sisters, Gerrie Morton (Dan) of Fort Smith, AR; Lisa Pauley (Tommy) of Bauxite, AR; four grandchildren, Ethan McBride, Joshua Meeks, Paisley McKamie, Evelyn McKamie; and several aunts, uncles, and friends.

Visitation is scheduled 1:00-2:00pm Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral Service following at 2:00pm in chapel with Bro. Joe Brown officiating. Interment to follow at Shiloh Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Homes-Hope.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations towards the funeral service.
