On Thursday, February 1st, 2024, Santiago Lopez, 20 of California, MO was arrested in Missouri  for a warrant issued in Hempstead County, AR, stemming from a May 2022 murder of a juvenile  male. Lopez was extradited back to Arkansas on February 10th, 2024.  

Lopez is currently in the Hempstead County Detention Facility awaiting a first appearance on the  charges of Capital Murder, Terroristic Act, Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle and Engaging  in Violent Criminal Group Activity.  

Bryceston Marks, 19 of Bryant, AR was arrested in May of 2022 for this offense. Marks is also  facing charges of Capital Murder, Terroristic Act, Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle and  Aggravated Assault. Marks is scheduled for trial in May of 2024.
