Columbia County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee Donates 10 Car Seats to Hannah Pregnancy Resource Center
MAGNOLIA — The Columbia County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee has contributed to the well-being of local expectant mothers by donating 10 car seats to the Hannah Pregnancy Resource Center (Hannah PRC). The center, with locations in Magnolia, El Dorado, and Camden, Arkansas, provides free and confidential services for expected pregnancies, assisting mothers in need.

Hannah PRC serves two to three women each week, offering vital support through pregnancy and parenting-related classes. Participants earn points that can be redeemed at the in-house boutique for essential items. Among the offerings are clothes, diapers, wipes, baby food, blankets, and car seats, some provided by Farm Bureau.

Elizabeth Pratt, Program Director at Hannah PRC, expressed gratitude for the donation, stating, “Most of our clients struggle financially to afford car seats and often resort to borrowing used ones, which may not always be safe. These car seats are one of our most valuable items, and we appreciate Farm Bureau’s generous contribution.”

The initiative aligns with the Arkansas Farm Bureau's commitment to child safety, as they have an Infant Car Seat Program available for all members. This program enables Farm Bureau members to purchase auto safety seats for infants and small children starting at $15. More information about this member benefit can be found at arfb.com or by contacting your local Farm Bureau office.

Arkansas Farm Bureau is celebrating Farm Bureau Week during February 4-9, 2024 as a chance to highlight member benefits and the work of the organization. Arkansas Farm Bureau is a nonprofit, private advocacy organization with more than 190,000 families throughout the state working to improve farm and rural life.
