Rep. Bruce Westerman (AR-04)
As a conservative father of four and a Christian, I hold deep convictions about the value of life. When I was elected to serve Arkansas’ Fourth Congressional District in Congress, I swore to defend the U.S. Constitution, which protects every American’s right to life – a fundamental right to our nation. I’ve heard from many Arkansans passionate about defending the sanctity of life, and I share that sentiment.
In June 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization sent the issue of abortion back to state legislators, where it belongs. While many states have enacted laws to protect the lives of the unborn, there is still work to be done. I’m proud to have supported numerous pieces of legislation that protect the unborn, affirm that life begins at the moment of fertilization, confirm that no federal taxpayer dollars will fund abortions, and ensure pregnant women have the resources they need to keep themselves and their children healthy.
Supporting pro-life legislation and oversight efforts continues a fight I began when I was a member of the Arkansas General Assembly to protect those who cannot protect themselves. This week, I was proud to receive the highest rating possible, an A+, by Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America for my commitment to protecting the God-given right to life. I will never stop fighting and advocating for the innocent unborn, and one day, our country will overcome the injustice of abortion in our country.
