Hollis Thompson, an English faculty member at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana, will be directing a live audio drama for which he also wrote the script during this year's Multiverse Fundraiser online charitable comic con. It is inspired by radio shows from the 1930s and 40s and is an adaptation of the first Batman story from 1939. In another panel, Thompson will also speak on the history of comic books and WWII.
The Multiverse Funraiser is a yearly charitable event. This year, they are raising funds for Comics for Kids, a non-profit that donates kid-appropriate comics and toys to hospitalized children. The event will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube from Thursday, January 25th to Sunday, January 28th. The audio drama will take place on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., and the WWII panel will happen on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
The event is free. To learn more, visit https://www.facebook.com/themultiversefunraiser
