NFIB State Director Sylvester Smith presented Boozman with the Guardian of Small Business award at McLehaney Equipment Co. LLC in Benton.
WASHINGTON– U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) was awarded the ‘Guardian of Small Business’ award from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business association. Boozman received this honor for his outstanding voting record in support of small business owners and employees.
“Small business owners are facing extraordinary challenges as a result of the COVID-19 economic downturn. I’m proud to support policies that will help provide certainty and economic relief so these job creators can survive and continue to employ Arkansans. I appreciate this recognition and remain committed to advocating for the success of our state’s small businesses,” Boozman said.
“This award goes to members of Congress who support small businesses, and Senator Boozman stands up for small business owners and employees in Arkansas and throughout the country,” NFIB Arkansas State Director Sylvester Smith said.
“NFIB’s policy positions are driven by its members, and we report NFIB Key Votes back to our membership,” NFIB Vice President of Federal Government Relations Kevin Kuhlman said.
“We are proud to recognize the elected officials like Senator Boozman who earned this distinction in the 116th Congress by taking pro-small business votes supporting financial assistance programs and tax relief and opposing increased labor costs.”
