Memorial Day is observed the last Monday in May and was originally created to honor those who died in the Civil War (1861-1865) but the holiday now includes those who have perished in any war. It is a day set aside to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom while serving in the United States military. This year Memorial Day will be celebrated Monday, May 25, 2020.
To all the many men and women who have fallen defending our freedom, our rights and this great country, we salute you with the red, white and blue, our American Flag.
