Lafayette County, AR, March 28, 2020 – On March 27, 2020 at approximately 12:48 am, Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a boating incident and a possible drowning on Lake Erling in Lafayette County, Arkansas. When deputies arrived on scene, they began to gather information. Divers worked until the body of James Mills IV, 20-year-old male, of Bradley Arkansas was recovered at 7:45 am on March 28, 2020.

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Arkansas Game and Fish, Bossier Parrish Dive Team, Pinnacle Search and Rescue, Lake Erling Fire and Rescue, Lafayette County Dive Team, and the many volunteer that helped with this incident.
