At the noon hour, the Police Department held a surprise farewell party for Administrative Assistant Tammie Rose, who will be taking a job in the Nevada County Courthouse. About her two-year contribution to the department, Chief Jordan said she "kept the PD running smooth and handled everything from ordering supplies to maintaining the STOP Grant up which is a grant that helps the PD with the salary for a detective." Rose also wrote grants for a K9, and new body cameras which were funded fully. In addition she started with citizens of Prescott the Blue Santa Program and won matching grants from State Farm toward gifts for kids living in Prescott.
