Significant Weather Advisory Issued for Hempstead and Surrounding Counties
The National Weather Service has issued a significant weather advisory for Hempstead, Northwestern Miller, Southeastern Sevier, Southeastern Howard and Southeastern Bowie Counties until 1:45 pm

At 1:04 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms near Texarkana, moving northeast at 45 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include:

Texarkana, Hope, Wake Village, Nashville, Mineral Springs, Nash, Redwater, Red Lick, Belvins, Tollette, Fulton, Washington, Ogden, Mandeville, Genoa, Saratoga, McCaskill, Ozan, McNab and Oakhaven.

Torrential rainfall is also occuring with these storms, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occuring with these storms. Lightning can strike at 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional imformation and possible warnings from the National Weather Service
